It's also a challenge to ensure lower rank animals receive proper socialization - I have found that some prefer smaller groups rather than larger ones. This can also be found with other animals including humans. This is why I’m bringing Snowy in each night so Lottie can cuddle up to her. The thought of her being alone 24/7 for days on end is abhorrent.
I remember!I had to check the recording. I thought she did.She has before.
That is really nice! Stone is hard to work with but you are doing it beautifullyI haven't taken any chicken pictures yet today, but i have some for tomorrow. Spent the last two days working on this and other yard work. Shocked that we have no chicken prints! Both kitties are buried under this area.

It's ok to be cautious, he is and older guy right? Some rest in a cooler environment is good.We have a problem! Jaffar is slow today now too. He spends a lot of his time laying down. That’s not normal for him. If it’s the heat (not too bad today) ? If it’s something else wrong, I’m not sure. I brought him inside with me, and he just laid down again. I’m keeping him in for the rest of the evening. Earlier, he was doing his “roostering” but he seems worn out now. I love this little guy so much, maybe I’m just being over-cautious!![]()

I hope so tooI read a veterinarian journal and learned that it would be a good idea to bring Jaffar in for the night (say goodnight Jaffar) I hope that he’s okay in the morning.
What is the purpose of keeping them in? Is it separation from wild birds? Or something else?I really hope so but how long it it going to take? You wouldn’t think one tiny little chicken could take up an entire bathroom!
Pop quiz: how many chickens are in this picture?
