Have you read suggestions a few of us have sent?

I asked if she's pooing okay and also made a few suggestions. In all the panic you may have missed these I'm thinking. Also @Ponypoor asked or suggested a couple of things, maybe is she molting ??

When you have time read back on your old posts :hugs
Good luck Rebecca I really understand how pressure can get to us . This past month has been really hard for me to 💐
It is not a laying issue as she does not lay unless she is laying internally. I did see a suggestion for epsom salt soaks. She has been getting one once a week since the mass was spotted. She is pooping normally but due to it's location I have to give her butt a wash to keep her feathers from getting nasty. She enjoys them and relaxes as soon as I put her down in the tub. The mass is just growing, I can tell it is bigger each time she gets a soak. It is firm, and there is no heat to it at all.

I will say I'm nearing my breaking point with my grandmother whether she realizes it or not. I'm dealing with her getting mad at me but when she told my daughter Saturday she hated her and kids in general I'm done.

I'm sorry I've been away a few days, been dealing with grandma drama and have just not had the energy to spend time on the computer. I need to update that Daisy is still with us. That dust bath she took lasted 2 hours. When she was finished and walked away she was walking normally again, the penguin stance was gone and she also went back to eating with gusto. I was ready, had the hole dug but watching her afterwards I could not do it. Maybe I should have, but she is having mostly good days again. I know very soon the time will come and I will have to. If she either goes off her food or I see that stance once more that will be it.
You are a good chicken mama 💖

As for your gran, well I know how exasperating it can be, family can be both a blessing and a curse...

We are all behind you with regards to Daisy and your gran

It's so hard for you and your family with your grandma's deterioration. Please try to hold on to who she was and how she loved you all. This isn't her the past is who she really is.

I'm ashamed to admit I'm totally exhausted and cannot find a link that may well be of great help to you, I think i posted it too RC a while back because I'm dealing with
Agatha who has had similar problems with laying. She was laying soft eggs and when I gave her calcium she had a soft shell hanging out of her which luckily I managed too gently remove. She was also being sick.

On this site it suggested several things it could have been. I thought she had an infection causing the egg mechanism nasty problems. It suggested leaving few options that maybe a vet would prescribe but I didn't like the side effects of those then their other methods was the homeopathy route the latter
Was what I chose. I decided on 2 being, " hepar sulf and bryonia". I hope you can research these when you have a minute

Firstly I used activated charcoal for a few days incase of poisoning or metal poisoning, which I gave too her in water through a syringe.
There was a lot of pooping going on and I kept her apart from the others while dealing with it. This stopped her laying all together. I don't know if she will recover but time will tell as she's finished her course of treatment now but I'm still making sure she's eating and drinking.

I will try to find this link for you when I'm less tired and rushed.

Try to rest in between this exhausting time you are going through 🤗

Busy day at the testing center. Lots of people are bringing in their animals for testing. They will be testing Arizona for cause of death. Infection or poison, or heat and feeding issues. But I have to wait for results. :old (I was lucky to even get an appointment)
I really hope you find your answers my sweet friend 💗

Oh Rebecca if I could hug you I would and not let go for at least 5 minutes 😊

Your gran is not in her right mind and from what you have told, she hasn't been in a very long time.

Just remind yourself of that, I know it's hard - I dealt with these things as a Nurse, it's very hard d not to take things personally when you're stressed.

One day one of my patients was being particularly evil, I was frustrated with her and trying to be calm. She had just enough sense to know how to wind me up, anyways she told me I hope your horse kicks you....

I told her she was not being nice and being the end of my shift I left. And went home. And had a very serious compound fracture from a yearling stallion who kicked me!

Surgery, plates screws bolts blah blah blah, 16 weeks off.

Guess who my first patient was when I was back to work??

Guess the first thing I told her??

And she didn't remember me, or saying that... And I was petty and mean and then told her she was evil and vendictive.

In reality she had no real true knowledge of what she was saying to me. And it was unprofessional of me to say what I said. But we are only human.

I learnt a lesson that day in the form of not taking anything the infirm said to me. I would just smile and walk away.

Did they give a timeline for results?

How are the others doing? All ok? Is it still hot as blazes there? My cousin in Bakersfield had her power out again Saturday over night. She said it's crazy hot for this time of the year.
