Wonderful approach to teaching and mentoring kids 🤗

In fact dealing with all people any age.

In fact respect for all livng beings is the key to enjoying life. I am not afraid to tell the horses off but also ensure they know they are doing right and safe. Same as one would ones children and family, or coworkers, I call out anyone who is rude or mean, but I make a big fuss over good manners and being thoughtful. 💖
This is how you make meaningful change. Well this and @bgmathteach thing with the children. 😁

My thoughts are with you.
:hugs
Extreme heat with humidity is really tough for people and animals. Thankfully out temperatures have dropped but we did have a short period of high temperatures and high humidity earlier this week. It coincided with my home A/C blowing up. I have fans and have to make do, but I really do not sleep well in that environment even with a fan.
Apparently there are supply chain issues with sourcing new A/C equipment and it is eye-wateringly expensive so I am feeling grumpy. Interestingly the chickens seemed to cope quite well - their housing is in quite deep shade and I watered down the dirt outside to give them a cool area to hang out in.
You can load the tribe up and come on over until your AC is fixed. I have an empty coop and run right now, a spare bed room, and my AC is only 3 years old. You are always welcome.

Still windy and chilly, but check this out, 7C tonight, going to be in the 90s by Tues. It's the wild swings that are bad for the critters. I am thinking of getting a new fan unit for the hen house.

This is crazy!

At least it is consistently hot n humid here. Those big swings are hard on everything.
Those big swings are normal daily temps here: summer lows: upper 40s- low 50s at night with daytime highs ranging from 70s-90s depending on the day. Some days it only drops to upper 50s/ low 60s.... we pay for it in the winter though.

Tax: sample of what much of the day was like....

Those 2. Only those 2... for minutes at a time. Ember is showing some maybe cockerel signs, but this raises the odds. And Horus instigated much of it. Also saw Cheetah actively chase Hector. Jessica is definitely weaning her pair who are starting to show some gold bleeding through on their best feathers. Add in the crying of this young one and a noisy day

I took this at bedtime this evening. Branch is in heaven, he's been trying to claim all those new girls as his own and I think it is working. After she got done with her nightly loving the other buff girl squeezed herself over there.

I miss the wee babies running around and all the noise they make 😊

My gals have settled down and only at bed time do I have drama, caused by Buttercup chasing Dorothy and Rose from their roosting...

No Kris, I’m not in hospital this time (not yet anyways) :caf
Work on keeping it that way, the girls have Jaffar, but your support Rooster needs help with them too. No opposable thumbs to open the mealy worm packages and all… they can do beakbook but let’s all be thankful they haven’t developed a chook version of Amazon… the insect larvae and purple corn deliveries would be endless!
