Went to town today to get some 1x2 strapping to secure my chicken wire for the run. I about had a fit, $2.78 per board. I got 45 of them and with taxes cost me a whopping $140 odd bucks .

They come in bundles of 15, so that got 3 bundles.

And I am so annoyed with the young men these days - lazy so and so's. Two young 30-ish guys sat there and watched me struggle to load them into my truck and didn't even offer to help, yes they were home Depot employees.

I felt like waving and yelling 'thanks guys' when I finished.... But I couldn't get enough energy to bother.

Now my back is killing me, and I have a migraine from the wind, AND...

I am back in the phone on hold, trying to change one of the crews flight (long story some of you know) from Mon to Tue... And now my sacrum and hips are screaming agony because silly me sat in the wrong chair duh!!!

Here are your hissing cobra chickens and their youngsters, they were in the road near my place when I was coming back from town. This is only a few of the three dozen I counted!

Mine are now almost full sized mini death chickens… and they are almost identical to mom and dad! Lol mom and I thought dad and six not-so-littles evacuated the coop as I was herding my last broody in for the night… well I almost cornered the gander by mistake (glutton was refusing to leave my feeder!)

Odd aside and I’ll see if I have taxes to pay for this one, but what are the names of the big box construction type stores in the UK? Do you have giant places like our Home Depots? Oooh, and what about in Australia? @LozzyR and @MaryJanet ?

And I've just recently learned they're deploying facial recognition in their stores without fully informing their customers.

I took this at bedtime this evening. Branch is in heaven, he's been trying to claim all those new girls as his own and I think it is working. After she got done with her nightly loving the other buff girl squeezed herself over there.

Yes, but I cannot use them you need a car for such places. Most of our stores are out of reach for people without cars even large supermarkets. It never used to be like this.

You can load the tribe up and come on over until your AC is fixed. I have an empty coop and run right now, a spare bed room, and my AC is only 3 years old. You are always welcome.

That is very sweet of you - but be careful what you offer! Even the drive is tempting as the car’s A/C is gloriously functional!
The portable units are complicated. Really small ones are not designed for environments with high humidity. There are ones on wheels that would work but they are quite bulky and expensive - a couple of nights in a nearby motel might be a better option if it gets really grim.

And here is my A/C tax. Bernadette. I am obsessed with her mobility. This shot is a huge moment because she is stepping off the log with her right foot in the lead. That wasn’t possible for her a week ago!

Wonderful approach to teaching and mentoring kids

In fact dealing with all people any age.

In fact respect for all livng beings is the key to enjoying life. I am not afraid to tell the horses off but also ensure they know they are doing right and safe. Same as one would ones children and family, or coworkers, I call out anyone who is rude or mean, but I make a big fuss over good manners and being thoughtful.

I do most of the time but some people are not worth the effort I always try to pick the children up and most of the children around where I live actually appreciate it

No, it was enough of a deterrent. That’s one of my temporary fence panels; they are so useful! It was more to keep the Faverolles away from Lottie when she was outside.
