My EE Kelly is a delight... I sure hope the new little flowers are just like her! Magnolia, Poppy, and Daffodil...
Kelly is always right next to me waiting for pats and just hanging out under my feet... oh, and the first to “pose” for the camera :lol:View attachment 1794979View attachment 1794980View attachment 1794981

Oh I love her!! She looks like my Kitty, who I sadly lost early this spring.

My EE Abigail is an absolute sweetheart as well. She sounds just like your girls. She'll even follow me in the house. I do spoil her and let her spend the night occasionally. :lau

She's rather fond of my husband too!

That's outstanding. I am not quite ready to let them sleep in the house! :gig

Maybe certain people just inspire flight? So last night my girls were fussing over the flock division and intro of the CX girls, when I went out at 9ish there was a huge kerfufal, and the largest CX girl ran to me (that’s new!) then attempted to fly out of the tractor (the whole 2’ high of it). You can imagine how well that worked out for her! I managed to grab her and help control the landing of her fall. Not even one full day outside and she’s thinking she’s a real bird? Boy can I pick them!

I love when they believe they are "real" birds. Nothing used to shock visitors to Fluffy Butt Acres more than Daisy flying over to see them. I heard more "Wait! They can fly?!" Than you can imagine. Of course flying into a wire wall should be discouraged. :gig

She was in chicken ICU inside and once she healed she decided she likes the house better then the coop. She even lays her eggs on the couch, making a nest out of the blanket!

She lays a lovely light green egg.

That is very cool. Nesting on the couch is a great adjustment on her part. Do you have diapers for her or do you just "clean up"?

The leghorns yes... the Cornish Cross... nope. She made it a whole foot and a half maybe off the ground! Reminds me of our friend Randy (he’s in the Navy, Chinese, but looks Hawaiian) he’s actually fairly fit and down to about 260 lbs... he’s just a really large guy. One of his favorite lines is “too fat, can’t run!” He uses it every time we walk somewhere too quickly (Though he actually can run, much better than Andrew and I, and has passed every fitness test in his career!)
