This is where it starts, i was whinning about the storm bearing down on us. Then i went to bed and there were 30 posts before i got on this morning and then i had some more posts, one imparticular is very long chock fulla the insanity i endured. Ive been thru the wringer sir.

Man girl.. you are one tough cookie! I am such a wimp I would have died (literally) at just the thought of having to serve time
I know what it’s like that go to bed empty.. I stop eating for the day at 3:30-4:00 everyday (I go brush my teeth) just to keep the weight in check .. but I really feel better and sleep better now that I do this.. which I’ve been doing for the last 5 and half years.. and I can’t sleep well on food...

Keeping my eyes and ears on the skies and praying we all make out okay!! ... be safe ma fren!

Thank you! We have a 1/2 acre corner lot on the edge of boro limits. We are currently renting the property, it's an old farm house. We'd like to buy a house with acreage so I can expand my flock.

This is the back corner, we couldn't ask for a better place to raise our kids and chickens.

The kids, chickens, cats, and dog all share the back yard and hang out together. My house is truly a no drama zone!

My main coop is built in under the house, it was an old coal cellar.

This is how we spend most of our free time.

Oh yes! A fire pit is a must but you can keep the snow! Saw all I wanted of the white stuff while in Europe. Not impressed.

I don't mind the snow so much. We have not been having the cold snowy winters like we did when I was a kid. Lately it sticks around for a week or so and then it's gone, plus we really only get snow January through March.

lol I live in a sub tropical climate. Anywhere that dips into single figures is too cold for me!

What a great reprise for an old coal cellar! I can't wait to tell my wife about that idea. Not that we have one, but she grew up in coal country. She will never be able to imagine her Dad allowing chickens in his coal cellar!
