lol But you don't have eggs. Too hot for laying by the looks ~ unless my eyes are letting me down again. I sense some harsh words being said when you catch up with your ladies again. :) I think you need to rename your coop: Bob's Harem. There's a reason for the term hen pecked. :lau:lau

I do think that Lilly laid yesterday morning. She was in the box long enough. They do have me where they want me. Everyone was free ranging on Thursday when I needed to get them back in the coop. Mealy worms did the trick for everyone but Maleficent. I had to gather her and put her in. She would not visit with me afterwards and I was crushed. My wife thought someone was sick again I looked so devastated. :hit

Hen pecked for sure. What's a guy to do.

Hi BYBob,
I just spent the last couple of days reading your thread from start to finish. It made me laugh..and cry.
So sorry about Patsy,:( but she had a good life with you.
She was the hen that grew spurs right? I think one of mine might be developing spurs too.:)
I expect you will be happy to see your girls in person tomorrow and that they have been missing you.

@Aussie-Chookmum Thanks. I could tell from all the "like's" that you were reading all the way through. I'm glad you "liked" it.

Yes Patsy was my hen that grew spurs when she took over as Alpha hen.

The girls will see me tomorrow when I remove them from their roost in the run and put them in the coop. They may not be so thrilled to see me then!

Silly girls! Like I said they are just being rebellious teens. It’s kind of like when you go on vacation and come home and your cats give you the cold shoulder. Just glad they are all ok!

I am certain the cats will do that as well. I definately experienced that!

All in the Coop Tonight!

I watched everyone at roost time on the camera tonight. I wanted to see if Lilly or Hattie were running the Littles off at night. Low and behold they all roosted together IN THE COOP! Here they are. They knew I was watching somehow.
