My little Lawnmowers

This year I did now have to mow my back yard once summer arrived. Why you night ask? Well I have 4 little lawn mowers that have kept it in check naturally. I just realized this yesterday when I remembered I have an extension cord that I ran to run their window fan in the summer buried in the grass now. I would have had to pull that up in order to mow without electrocuting myself. It is all kinds of stuck in the grass! What a great job they did this year and I love the weed free natural yard they have made for me!

Here they are trimming it up for me as a group. Great job ladies!

I think our backyard is too big and we have too many weeds for our girls to keep in check. *sigh*

Don’t tempt me! My mind keeps wandering down south to the only Faverolle breeder I can find in NSW (over three hours’ drive away) and the Easter Egger breeder I found on Facebook. Downside @BY Bob ? More chances to get your heart broken.

Yes, true. I think Faverolles seem to be a good option (placid and less broody) but they’re so far away!
