I do believe @Shadrach is trying to inspire us all to throw open our doors and let the little fluffy butts inside! I don’t know that I could convince DH or my mother that this is really an accepted practice in most places...

@BlueBaby thats an impressive amount of catch up reading! And I start getting overwhelmed when I have 15-20 pages to catch up on ;) must spend more time on the chicken friends here,

You should be drinking coffee while reading Fluffy Butt Acres so you can stay alert.
:caf

I know, but the coffee was in the kitchen and I would have had to make another pot of it. I was afraid that if I got up to make a fresh pot, that DH would hop on the computer. Sometime's he accidentally closes my window that open on the computer.

@Shadrach has the floors for easy clean up, I do not.

They are so cute exploring the house though. There is an inherent curiosity to them that is endearing. I almost want to see where they would go if given free range of the house.......Almost!

When I make up my mind to do something, I pretty much stick with it until it's completed.

I'm hunting around for some of those nice Barnevelder's now, but it seem's the one's that are supposed to sell them won't have any chick's until spring.

You could some of those plastic sheet's that @Kris5902 laid down for her crawl space. Doesn't it say Enabler under BlueBaby? :lau

They are pretty, but mine are still very flighty, I spend most of my mornings trying to herd Bob back into his tractor now. The Roosters are quite large, and My hens were fairly regular layers, with nice medium-large eggs ever other day or so. Right up until they started molting.

It sure does! Any other helpful hints?

Yes, I do have another helpful hint. The other member that lives near to you (I forgot her nic, the one with those egg's that aren't brown that offered you some of her hatching egg's).She know's what color that her girls lay, so why don't you see if she could spare one of them for you?

I'm liking the nice feather pattern's on them.
