I would love to see a picture of them facing into the wind, maybe even a video. Any chance?
I don't seem to have one , Bob. Not surprising really as I would have had to be precariously balanced on our steep slope & any time I stuck my nose out the girls all rose up to accompany me on whatever I was doing.
These are the best I can do:

No, I haven't. I'm on page 82 (I had to check my bookmark.) I bookmark where I left off at, because it's easier to get back to the right page that way. It's a lot to read through, and my DH was researching some part he need's for the car. I think he found the one that he will be happy with.

Edit: I'm still reading through to see if you ever got a blue or green egg layer. I made one from a CCLB/NN cross, and she's laying egg's great. I also have a pullet that has a fully feathered neck that is dark gray in color. I was looking at her comb and wattles yesterday to try to see how close she might be getting to laying her first egg, and discovered that she has blue earlobe's.

It is one of the great stories on the thread. Will he or won't he?

Oh dear, that does look worrisome. I have been giving my girls access to "Calcivet" in a separate water bottle every day as well as shell grit.

My local saddlery/produce store has it. I think Petbarn carries it too Lozzy

Yes! I want the big 1 litre bottle, the pet shop near where I work only had a 50ml one, but I tried it and the girls drank the water with it in it. I will have a hunt today I think.
