Are any of your chooks affectionate Shad? Or do you just let them do their thing and come and go as they please?
No not really.:)
It's an odd relationship I have with the chickens. It's difficult to explain.
Mainly, they do what they want. My house I believe is viewed much like the sheep shed and the donkey stable.
None of the chickens here like being picked up. But, they will stand on my foot, or shoulder, basically where it's difficult for me to reach them. I don't let them on the work surfaces and they're very quick to learn this. They don't go in the bedroom even though there is no door.
Of course, I do interfere/intervene when health matters are concerned and obviously they know I'm a great source of food.
Affectionate like cuddly....not really. I can now if I need to, pick most of them up, but with a few it's a snatch.
I do most of my inspections and medicating while they are on their feet so they don't often get picked up for that.
I just like them and want to help them out if and when I can.

Those leghorns! :lau

Maybe you should take Tsuki the bully to see Santa? Perhaps understanding the implications of being bad might help to mellow her.

Just a thought. :D

:gig

I'm sure she'd put him in his place and end up with all the presents!

Sounds like you and they have a very comfortable, companionable relationship.
