I see Phyllis keeps well out of it.:D
Tribe 1 and 2 bunch together like sardines. It doesn't matter how much space they have.

I think the high roost will be key for Phyllis. Stay out of the fray. Her and Sydney are getting along well. Pairing them up made a difference last night.

I have to hold my hand up to not being all that great at the supportive bit. Sorry and all that. Many years of a solitary life may be partly to blame.:p
My hearts in the right place but sometimes it just doesn't beat that loudly.

You are just fine. I have not noticed anything out of line or too cold. I think most everybody here really appreciates you for being you.

Poor Sansa.

Sidles up to Hattie

Hattie: Geroff! Geroff! Geroff!

Moves away, closer to Aurora

Aurora: Geroff! Geroff! Geroff!

and so on and so forth.

I thought she'd finally found a good spot directly behind Aurora where she couldn't be seen. Then she ruined it by bumping Aurora's tail. Poor baby :hugs

That was my thought as well. I thought she was all set behind Aurora and then.....

Poor Lavender.

I'd be interested in seeing her moult though.

Edwina's moult is all underneath her top feathers. I couldn't see where they were all coming from until she fluffed up.

I find moulting an interesting and complicated business. None of my girls have been completely naked yet. Though there have been some pretty big naked patches they always seem to keep enough to keep warm.

Some are better than others. I prefer a slow molt. Aurora and Lilly molt slow. It takes a long time but they are never naked. Hattie has kind of a medium molt. She gets bald spots. Patsy had a hard molt. She would be in a bad way, nearly naked, for a while.

Look at that Clean Butt

That's a brilliant idea RoyalChick! Love it.

Are you going to put latches on the cupboard doors to deter night time marauders?
Thank you! The cabinet is inside the coop - but I walled off a small corner to be for my storage, and part of that wall is the cabinet. So the cabinet is inside a (hopefully) predator-proof coop. To collect eggs I go in the people door into this little storage area and open the cabinet doors. Then to visit the chickens I can step from there into the chicken part of the coop and hang out.
