They look so content there!
Thank you. I think they are. They make nice comfy chit-chat noises as they sit there and look out of the window. It is very cute and very comforting. I do sometimes go into the coop and sit while they settle down because it is so lovely. Then of course they break the mood by pooping copiously at my feet - but hey, when you gotta go!

I have missed these photos. :love

She is looking good!

She’s been absolutely scoffing her breakfast and dinner, and I heard her softly trilling again today. She still sometimes looks uncomfortable but I’m wondering if that’s because she’s moulting. Poos still aren’t quite normal, but she came running up the yard in anticipation of breakfast this morning! :love

That is so awesome. I'm so very happy for you.

I stockpiled chicken and cat food on Thursday. I get not wanting to go out now. I doubt the 'coons can beak in the palace in the meantime.

It is hardware cloth everywhere, right? I would check all the seems every morning. They will try to pull the wire up.
I did the same thing... for some reason I am more concerned if the animals run out of food

Yall, we have a hawk ... I walked out yesterday and saw something fly off.. it seemed large but I just thought it was a dove as we have those coming to eat the parakeet seed that I throw out.. well I walked a bit farther and saw the hawk fly away.. it was in the secondary chicken yard that I made for the gals for when it’s very muddy.. and then this morning when I walked out it flew right over the chicken yard.. low! The gals were not out yet and yesterday they weren’t in the new yard.. thank God.. because that yard is not covered.. so now I am worried.. I did not even let them out today into their yard.. it’s covered but there is an open place.. so I need to figure that out:barnie

Btw, the hawk was apparently eyeballing the parakeets not the chickens... because it was right near my porch where the parakeet cage is...
