I feel mine should be used to being handled in case I need to take them to the vet or sort out an injury. And I’m still hoping for cuddly chooks! :fl
I have earned the permission to handle many hens. Daisy, the greatest hen ever, let me hold her all I wanted, so too Elphie, and Maleficent. They would all jump up in my lap and ask for it from time to time. Others like Lilly, not so much.

Well, friends, Queen Bee is back in sick bay. I just don't know what to do with her. Sure wish there was a veterinarian around here. :(

I’m so sorry. :hugs I’m so glad we have vets nearby, I wouldn’t know what to do either and I certainly wouldn’t be able to euthanise them myself. :(

I'm so sorry. :hugs

Have you posted on the illness threads?
Thanks. It's really hard. I've never had to deal with a sick hen before this season. I think it's all the rain.

I do have one of the staff members helping me with this in PM messages. We started talking about it when Queen Victoria got sick. It has been a process. Antibiotics and aspirin seem to be the only thing she responds to. Just going to keep it up, but for longer this time. I will also give her some probiotics because antibiotics wipe out even the good bacteria.

I'm just sharing it here because I need some moral support. :D

You got it! :hugs :hugs

Im saying this just to be safe. Don't give probiotics while she is on the antibiotics as you are just wasting your money. As soon as you stop the antibiotics start the probiotics.
