Tribe 1 have been outside my house a lot this week. They arrive mid morning and move on when the sun gets directly overhead. As the blackthorn bush fills out with leaves I'm hoping it will provide more shade. I've trimmed away most of the low branches so the chickens can get right underneath.

A blackthorn Bush sounds like excellent cover from aerial predators. A good resting place indeed.

Long before I became Bucket Boy I worked in a very specialized field of material science. I worked for a company that made stuff for the military.
I was well paid and went all over the place.
But, in the end, the stress just wasn't worth it and I did walk after one particularly acrimonious directors meeting. I've yet to regret leaving.

I had to look up material science. It seems you are a very clever man ~ more so for walking away from that which does not satisfy.:hugs

Good grief, I didn't fly the plane and I wasn't in them for very long.
Well, I didn't think you had...😝 Jets were the last thing my dad flew before his retirement. They let him do the training as he was a senior 1st officer but his age meant they were never going to actually let him loose in one for real. My youngest brother flew jets with the navy but it was a crop duster did for him.

Knocks three in a bush. They are in this bush most evenings.
