This morning I said to Charlie “Squat!” So she squatted and let me pat her. Then did the post-mating shake. Rude!

All my Wyandottes have been lovely! Alpia is an absolutely gorgeous girl. Polite as well as pretty.
Nope. My BRs are a pain all summer & the one Aracauna are my broody problems. Are your Wyandottes broody Ribh? The chart I found said they were extremely broody, which is why I put them last on my short-list.

I do have bantams, not standards, but they all will feed from my hand & tolerate handling & are quite friendly. They are fliers though. Are they flighty or pretty grounded? I might have to find a couple if they’re cuddly like Bob’s Sansa!
Sansa is a standard and is not a flyer. Based upon the size she will be when full grown I can't imagine she will ever be a flyer. She is a climber though. The top of that fence is 6 feet (about 2 meters).I do have bantams, not standards, but they all will feed from my hand & tolerate handling & are quite friendly. Saying goodbye is never easy.Knocks three went off to their new home half an hour ago. I found it pretty hard to let them go.
I think I prefer to let them live a while longer and kill them to eat strange though this may seem. The more time I spend with chickens for more I have to think about how I deal with their death and injury within myself.
Anyway, the young man is already besotted with the cockerel in particular. They will get some free range time apparently. The household has two dogs and while the dogs have been fine with other creatures in the past there is a training process the young mans father does with the dogs when new company arrives. Until this is completed they'll be confined.
It doesn't seem to be phasing her much apart from being cold. I have some cracked corn for them now on the advice of Ribh and Shadrach which, hopefully, will help warm her up.Thank you! Please tell me she is at least eating well and enjoying some aspects of chickeny life!
