Yes, Aurora's toe was broken as a chick and they never reset it. We got her at 6 weeks of age and there was no point in trying to fix it then. If does not seem to bother her. I thought I was going to have to trim her nail but it looks like it is not getting any longer so it is getting worn down somehow. I've just got my eye on it.The year Bob. A couple of Hattie's chick photos say 2020
I didn't know Aurora had a twisted toe!![]()
Truly cuteness overloaded. They were so small.I know I'm not supposed to love multiplying bunnies, but I can't help it! They're so sweet!
Well for one thing, I could not close the run up until they left it last night. The did eventually move on. I put a new cabbage head up yesterday and I'm wondering if they were drawn in by the stump of the old one laying on the ground in the run. Either way the run complex wound up being open last night until midnight. That's not something I want to do often.Oh my goodness. There are baby bunnies in the chicken coop? What on earth are you going to do?!
Here they are hawk and fox food (and other predators). They are cute and lovely and Mr. Bunny is not afraid of me. That's kind of cool. If they keep the predators away from my hens by providing an easier food source I'm not going to complain.I agree. Being Australian, I feel guilty liking anything about rabbits, but I just can't help it!
As a youth we not only had chickens for meat but my dad was in the rabbits as meat business as well. When he was done with raising rabbits he gave my small children one as a pet. They named it Carrot. My youngest loved it so much that when she went to law school she wanted to get a pet rabbit. Fortunately her apartment building would not allow it.My YB had a white rabbit for a while. I'm less susceptible to their charms...![]()
It does kind of. Mrs BY Bob pointed that out as well.I love Sansa's. That almost looks like a love heart on her butt,![]()
I don't drink beer, I drink DrPepper. But I don't like the taste of his meal worms. That's sweet. I can picture it in my mind. Did you share a couple of beers as well?
I love this post! Such sweet fluffy feathered friends. I love how they all have unique voices. I think I could ID each one of mine just by the voice. ❤
