Lilly can Still Intimidate

With Lilly slowed other animals have been taking advantage. It started with the squirrel. Now the ducks have been getting brazen as well.

Today lady duck went to far. Lilly gave her a look and a step and lady duck was on the run. It was like realizing that's John Wayne standing at the bar and you just questioned his manhood.

Luckily, I got it on video, enjoy.
Ata girl Lilly!!

I do not have ducks. They are wild and use my pool cover as a pond every spring. Lilly keeps them in line. They try to eat the chicken's food. Lilly runs them off. She once even got on top the male duck one time and rode him for a while, all the time pecking at his head. It was quite a site. I was so surprised I did not think to record it.

Lilly runs this yard. No squirrels or ducks allowed on land, for sure.
If I remember correctly, she is also known as The Enforcer from back in her early days? That girls still got it!

I should post some pictures of my dearly departed girls. I had the thought of starting my own thread one day, but I don’t think I’d be able to keep up with four threads! I’m happy enough posting stuff on your thread, if it’s ok with you.
@LozzyR I tried to start such a thread. Maybe even twice. It didn’t take, unfortunately. I wonder if I can find it? I may have tried twice. My first loss (that you’ve all heard about multiple times) was the hardest to get over, even though she was the least friendly hen and the later two were the most friendly. Anyway, I’ll try not to get into it here, but will look for the thread. It was quite awhile back, I think.

The temp here was 87'F yesterday. Somewhat cooler today so far. I just shared a can of tuna with FB, away from the other birds. She likes tuna, crab meat, sushi, and (salt free)canned corn, as treats. I don't feed her very many treats. She gets regular layer feed mostly.
Canned fish (tuna or sardines) are a favorite here, too! But lately the only treats are the occasional little patch of sprouted wheat berries. I don’t typically take it to the fodder stage.
