Don’t worry, you would know if he aspirated her. If her crop is sour, but not impacted, I personally would not withhold food. She needs the nutrition. I don’t think yogurt by itself will do much, but a little bit probably wouldn’t hurt, plus other foods that don’t feed yeast like meat and kale. Apple cider vinegar by itself won’t do much, either. Did I already mention poultry grade acidified copper sulfate in her drinking water? That only works if it is her only source of drinking water and if you want to separator. But I hear it can be quite effective. I need to find my notes on how long I treated with yeast cream in the past. I feel like it was a pretty long course, maybe seven days? I’ll let you know. Thanks for your help Michelle.I managed to pick her up before but I don’t know what I’m feeling for. I hope I didn’t squish her, I was being quite firm.
Her poo from last night looks normal, she was eating quite voraciously and has been drinking too. My friend suggested yoghurt in the morning. If her crop is full in the morning, do I cage her and let her fast, after giving her thrush cream? What about apple cider vinegar in the water?
Is she drinking excessively? That could be a sign of an impacted crop. However, the real test is if it empties fully overnight. And if not, you’ll need to tell us what the texture of her crop is like (hard, doughy/pliable, soft/squishy/water-balloon-like).
