Is Sydney Broody, for sure, for sure?

Someone was missing when I let them out to free range today.

She was still on the nest this morning but bolted when I opened the lid to check on her. She has been making some of the deep clucking sounds and puffing up but just not on camera for me. I'm currently watching how long she stays off of the nest. She is new to this so we shall see. If she holds through the weekend I may have to ask @CrazyChookChookLady for those fertile eggs.

I know, everyone else is breaking their hens and I'm hoping mine wants to hatch. Isn't the world a funny place. Here she is scooting off the nest this morning when I disturbed her.

I've found my BRs are a bit that way. They always seem to be 1/2 broody & take ages [as in hours] to lay each day. Given the size of the eggs that's not so surprising. I wouldn't want to be pushing one of those out in a hurry.

It’s a bit cold and windy today.
