Is Sydney Broody, for sure, for sure?

Someone was missing when I let them out to free range today.

She was still on the nest this morning but bolted when I opened the lid to check on her. She has been making some of the deep clucking sounds and puffing up but just not on camera for me. I'm currently watching how long she stays off of the nest. She is new to this so we shall see. If she holds through the weekend I may have to ask @CrazyChookChookLady for those fertile eggs.

I know, everyone else is breaking their hens and I'm hoping mine wants to hatch. Isn't the world a funny place. Here she is scooting off the nest this morning when I disturbed her.

Mind if I join?
I need ideas. I’m trying to tell mum she should adopt me a brumby so I can break it in myself! @Aussie-Chookmum u have no idea how close u and I live. Like I obviously can’t give away the exact location but depending on what part of the mountains ur from I can say I’d be like 1 to 1 1/2 hrs away
I didn't know the outback had mountains  yes i'm kidding, I always joke around!

YAY!! Sydney! Ginger thought about going broody, but she decided against it. My girls are in high gear, I currently have 9 dozen eggs.

Sure sounds broody to me, but some of mine just have fleeting moments of it when laying.

I'm not sure how serious she is about this. She has been off the nest all morning but she is puffy and clucking like she is broody. She even did the food call for chicks a little while ago when she found a seed.

I guess we will let her work this out and see if she gets more serious about it. I need to mark those eggs though. Otherwise....... :sick

I imagine you are somewhere off that "other" road that traverses the mountains. I think @LozzyR is not more than an hour or two away from us as well.

We may need to host a mini chicken convention for our Aussie chook mates some day! 😊
MJ was going to head out Sydney way before the pandemic hit and Ribh knows her way around the area.
I've been loving the travel ban! Life is so much cosier at home :D I had planned to be in Spain in June, not any more! Now I'm giving my talk in a video, which is soooo much easier.
