Does he have a wound or was it a pooey bum that attracted the flies? Have any of your other chooks been affected?

Over here in Australia our sheep get their tails docked and the wool shaved (crotched) because our flies are so bad.

Not too sure. I'm up at all hours (obviously) watching over him. those tiny bastard maggots hide in all those feathers
