Poor darling, she does look rather horrified. But its for her own good!

I may have to give Delta a butt bath soon. Out of interest, do you use washing up liquid? Baby shampoo?

I use the original blue Dawn dish soap. I like the dish soap because it seems to cut the poo better, baby shampoo also works good. You just might need to soak a bit longer if using the baby shampoo.

I finally have a fluffy butt friday picture!!!! :wee

Goldie was kind enough to give me this shot!! LOL In the background is Veronica, my beautiful barred rock, who hasn't shown the slightest bit of broodiness...

Just as well you've been having such warm weather ay?

Bribe her with tiny bits of cheese and mealy worms. (and get Mrs ByBob to make lasagna!)
I would love for Mrs BY Bob to make lasagna. What a great excuse. I used access to the bag of meal worms in the big coop to catch her. I wonder if she will come in the big coop again now. 🤔

I figured that I might as well wake up this morning. Jaffar jumped off the roost in my room, and on to my bed, then crowed in my ear. Yes he still won't come in the barn/coop at night, and I don't want him sleeping on the porch. He's now, out in the run crowing his Cochin head off! He's such a good rooster. Likes to snuggle, loves the ladies, eats from even a strangers hand. And he's content to being held. :D Ps. Rocked has sucessfully rejoined the rest of the flock, but still makes broody noises.
That sounds great. Looks like things have settled back in nicely.

We use dawn dishwashing soap. It is supposed to be safe to use on birds. It seems to work great and their feathers seem to be quite pretty afterwards.

Usually when we finally notice it's pretty bad and soaking is required. All of my others just settled into the warm bath and relaxed, not Aurora.
