I keep a pile of bricks around to set in strategic places as 'steps' for chicks.By tomorrow they will be hopping in and out without a second thought!
That was mild. Have a hellacious hen fights here, but my broodies set behind wire wall in coop....released into flock after about a week.Pecking order reminder I think. I was surprised by that as well.
Are these broody chicks, or incubator? When do you think it’s better to integrate.. when they are little or when they are older and can defend themselves better...?
My bator chicks get integrated at ~4 weeks.
