Ok a little late here but catching up... things went sideways on the farm again and I missed the hatch :hitbut while I’m getting all caught up I have to comment on this one:

We have a smoking sheep here, thanks to my mum. He cozy's up to smokers and curls his lip at them like they do at ewes coming into heat  lesson: don’t let smokers bottle feed lambs!

No! There is not enough stress to even consider it Bob... just no!
Thanks Kris. I made it. 😆

My relative age calculator gives 1 chicken year to our 7. But, in the first year, because they learn faster than humans and mature quicker, I reckon the ratio is 18 to 1.
You've got a teen mum.:p
O my gosh. A teen mom. That cracked me up. :gig

100% Hatch Rate

Hey there, @CrazyChookChookLady , Stanley fought his way past Goldie's defense. The third egg hatched! Sydney has them out and about. Watch the video closely and you can see the third chick staying under her. :love Oh my gosh I can't stand it! So special!

Way to Go Stanley!!! Congratulations Bob and Sydney!

@CrazyChookChookLady : I know you can sex barred rock chicks @ hatch. Males have that big white spot on their heads. I noticed Sydney's darker chick has a big white spot on their head & I was wondering if Bob has got himself a cockerel...? Does it work the same with Xs?

I believe so because it has been true of the 3 dark ones Anna hatched in school.

I've been meaning to ask you about the ageing of chickens relative to humans! Cool.
