I was a bit apprehensive for my first night at home without someone checking my vitals every few minutes. But actually I slept like a log.

For reasons that are obscure to me, one of my Grandmas was called Minnie or 'Aunty Min'. Her real name was Miriam so I guess it was a nickname. I hadn't really thought I was naming the chick after her (only made the connection after she told me her name!).

That is very cool. Funny how the brain works.

The baby Princesses wake up super early. Long before the big Princesses and long before it is light. You can see what I mean by them waking up to a bad hair day. I think they get up so early to fix themselves up to look respectable before everyone else gets up.

Also here is Maggie - always the last to wake up. You can see how the new shutters mean I can get maximum air flow for the ladies. I think they work well so will do the same for all the windows.
Note the Princesses got artwork as a housewarming gift for the Palace. I need to get a move on and paint their name boards (my artwork won't be up to that!).

Looking much more respectable now that it is light and bad hair has been preened into place (more-or-less)!

Let Them Eat Cake

I tossed a small piece of cake to Sydney and the chicks yesterday. It was so cute until one of the Aunties arrived looking for some. Lucky and Ned/Nan quickly got behind Mom when Auntie arrived.

Its not easy to look that good! I've known humans that need to do the same! If they knew you had them on camera like that they would not be happy!

The window screens seem like a great idea. I'm sure the Princesses will enjoy the fresh air.

Too adorable and very amicable. They got little wing feathers!

I think the little wings are what gets them up the ramp now to go to bed. Huge difference in their lives. They grow so fast!
