I will be really interested to see if Sydney's position changes now she's a mother. In my flock layers have more status than non~layers I wonder if hatchers have more status than non~hatchers?

Sansa has become relentless in chasing Sydney. I'm thinking not.

I have always wanted to release crickets and just watch. I think it would be amazing.

Same here! I did it once and it was over in an instant. I had purchased tiny crickets for visiting Rusty in the hospital. She didn’t go for them, but ate a couple meal worms. I ended up bringing them home for the rest of the flock. The girls gobbled them up in seconds.

You should call them “The Susan’s”.... a friend of mine had 7 Barred Rocks and two other different breeds... she called the BRs The Susan’s ... Lazy Susan, Black-eyed Susan, Funky Susan........

But no "lazy susan" None of Bobs birds are lazy! (see the play on words? Well, I laughed anyway)

Last summer I had all my neighbours catching grasshoppers for the girls. It was great entertainment for all concerned.
