I had a girlfiend many years a go who had a horse. The horse was called Xanadu.
I had a Ducatti 996 Mike Hailwood replica at the time. Perhaps Bob might fully appreciate the significance given he is a bit of a classic car enthusiast.
The girlfiend and I arranged to meet at a country pub which had a front garden that led directly on to the road. It was a popular pub for both horse riders and bikers. It even had hitching rails and a big stone water trough.
I had parked the bike next to one of the hitching rails and sat at a table waiting for the girlfiend to arrive on her nag. She was late; couldn't get the throttle to work properly apparently. It looked to me as if the brakes were faulty as well, when she finally showed up and attempted to park the nag.
Something, I still don't know what, startled the nag and in the rearing and stomping it seemed to take particular offense to my bike and struck it with it's rear feet twice. Fortunately, but not very fortunately, I had the bike on it's center stand and it didn't fall over. That didn't stop it doing hundreds of pounds worth of damage to the fairing and exhaust. The girlfiend seemed more concerned that her nag might have burnt it's over sized tootsies on the still warm exhaust than she was about the damage to my bike.
I learn't something that day.
If you get yourself a posh girlfiend ask if she has a horse before the first date.;)

That was a very cool bike! Horror of horrors I can't imagine a horse stomping my bike like that. Yikes. Did you remain calm?

My Yesterday

I have been having a fuel problem in my 1985 Alfa. So yesterday I replaced the in tank fuel pump. It seems to have solved the problem. I need to go on a long run to be sure. I did run it an hour around the neighborhood last night.

The old pump
