I'm so glad you found the nest and that she is safe. That was quite a spot she had found there. No wonder you could not see where she was without following her. Good job.

She was trying to hatch a baker's dozen of eggs. That would have expanded your flock a little. 😆
Only five of her eggs were fertile.

Well, I will have to stop trying to catch up for the night (still 55 pages to go!) But first to give Bob what I owe him.

And now for a small Tsuki anecdote.

One morning several days ago, when all the girls were safely locked up in their run, I was just saying to hubby how nice it was that Tsuki had learned to stay put. Then I caught a flash of white in the backyard.

We have a sliding glass door in the kitchen/dining area. Guess who had come to see why I hadn't set anything out on the breakfast bar yet?🙄

I stepped out and she squawked and fluttered away. When I called her and walked away I could hear her running after me. Opened the gate to the run and she hopped in.

Guess who was first to the breakfast bar? Mission accomplished Tsuki.

Aren't I well trained?
Phyllis, That guy may be handsome, but I still have my feelings for you! (And I have meally worms and other treats, I'm saving for you) Please don't forget about me! "Signed BLU"

That looks like a pretty good spot. Did you find it by following her?
I did. It took a few attempts. Usaully a hen here leaves her nest every day to eat etc. Tack didn't; another area of concern. She would stay on the nest for a couple of days, then take 4 to 5 hours off the nest on day three. This of course makes following difficult.

I’m in the metropolitan Phoenix area. It left us disappointed last night—just a big dust storm. Lol But tonight! A corner of a thunderstorm. These pullets have only seen rain twice ever now. 🙂
Ah. You mentioned monsoon so I wondered if you were in Asia or similar. I don't associate monsoons with the USA.

You need a GPS tracking system. :lau

This is unusual. That's Notch with Knock! Notch has taken to waiting for Tribe 1 to go to roost and then brings his hens around. Donk is hovering outside.
There was a time I was very close to giving up on Notch. Every day he would try to attack me at some point. Now he's a bit of a sweetheart. Everybody here told me I would never bring him round but there he is and I can reach down and pick him up without any fuss if necessary.
He's the third so called bad rooster that's turned out well with a bit of observation and understanding and believe me when I write he was a nightmare.
