Pleased to read re-homing Ned and Lucky went well @BY Bob
It seems you had that experience that I have treasured with so many of the cockerels here when you get chosen as the safe place when all is strange in their world.
Many don't understand my passion for roosters but once you've been chosen and if you treat them well they will be lifelong company and always be glad to see you. Yes they fight and they crow and the upset the hens from time to time but if you want a cuddle, you can't do better than a rooster, imo.
It was a very special thing and I don't know how I held it together and did not grab them race home.

It was lonely this morning having coffee alone. I tried to get Aurora to join me but she was not interested. 😔

Tackle's first day out since her injury. Treacle was there minutes after. He's so good in this respect. Tackle crowed this morning as she has a couple of other times; not a halfhearted crow either.
She spent the day with the tribe. She's still limping a bit but she kept up with the others today (I checked lots) and everyone was nice to her. Cillin was very pleased to see her. I think he knows she's moulting.

Outstanding news! I'm so glad. :yesss:

@RoyalChick I thought you and the union had worked this out? You may need to file a grievance.
Unfortunately the union rep was unavailable due to a dust-bathing meeting, so I had to just make the best of the situation.
The young ladies have not yet been unionized, but they are also highly unreliable workers because they are very easily distracted! :lau

I'm glad they are distracted easily. You do know that child labor is frowned upon, right?
