Maybe it is just the lighting but it looks like they are still out and about after dark. Is that true? I have noticed the Young Ladies still stay up at all hours but the Princesses go to bed a good hour before it really gets dark. Do all the tribes have the same bed-time?
It's not as dark as the pictures would lead you to believe; late dusk is more like it.
Tribe 1 go to roost at least an hour before the others. Tribe 3 is usually next and last, Tribe 2.
The tribes that have pro tree huggers are last in. They have already gone to roost in the trees, but I've turned up with supper and called them down. Taking tree roosting into account there probably isn't much difference in roosting times between the tribes.
Individual chickens like Donk who is usually last in stretch the roosting time by up to half an hour. Donk is a tree hugger by nature but if I'm there, she'll go into the coop without going up a tree first. Fat Bird sometimes stays out late and comes to the house when she wants escorting to the coop.

Of course. I should have guessed Fat Bird would expect escorting to bed!

I was hoping she would, but she lays dark brown eggs.

I wanted my girls to lay different coloured eggs so I could tell whose is whose.
White is Deana's, blue is Alice's and brown is Edwina's.

Edwina had fluffy feathers on her legs even as a chick. Do your Brady girls have leg feathering WhoDat?
Such beautiful eggs. 🥰

You know that rain never reached us last night. It dried up in the 30 miles between us.

It looked much worse then it was. We ended up whit about 30 to 45 minutes of a soft, soaking rain.

This was the front coming in at around 6:30pm.

The view from my porch. At this point the wind was picking up quite a bit.

This is the line of rain coming over the mountain.

It looked ferocious on the radar but it just died away on the end. All the watches and warnings were up but nothing came of it here.
