Oh I am so glad Minnie is not the only one! If it isn't a one off thing I should be able to catch a recording and hopefully you can pick it out from the general noise that Maggie makes as she goes about her day.
Chickens are awesome! They're always doing something new :love

Well and she isn't even yet a hen - she is just on 13 weeks - but the crow combined with the donkey bray was really a bit much. Sine then all she has said is 'peep peep peep'.
:love :lau
Tackle gave a few crows one of the mornings she was incarcerated in the house. She hasn't given any since as far as I've heard. There is something to be learned there. I think that the hens here at least can crow at will. That is very interesting.

I’ve got chickens to feed and a yoga class to get ready for but, y’know...

They know how to Break your Heart

Sydney was back on the nest this afternoon.

So I went and removed all the eggs, ceramic included, and I removed Sydney. She came to the house with the flock and had some mealy worms.

And then she went back to the empty nest to sit.

Why is she sitting on no eggs? It's just sad. 🥺

Well you can hardly blame her Bob. Last time she did that, fertile eggs magically appeared. Who is to say that it won't happen again? :fl

I don't suppose you know anyone who is trying to hatch using an incubator? You could offer Sydney's services, kind of like a nanny.
