Such a sweet hen.

I've never understood rubber-necking. Tragic accidents can't be unseen, so don't look in the first place.

True. And when you’re sitting on the side of the road traumatised after an accident, people gawking at you as they drive by doesn’t help. Although to be honest, you don’t notice that much.

*sniff*

Although you can't see it, there's a towel in the bottom of her basket.
I remember that picture - so lovely - I thought when you first posted that I couldn't imagine any of my chickens being that well behaved!
I love the basket - the cat carrier I was going to use is plastic, but the cats actually travel to the vet in a wicker hamper. I have never learned how to get a cat into a cat carrier against its will - and a hamper is much easier.

I have had the exact opposite experience. Blossom gives me a flat refusal to even consider the hamper but she'll go all the way into the cat box for a treat.

Looks like fun! Did you say your car is an ‘85 model? Does that mean it didn’t have power-steering? No wonder you’re sore!
Nope. No power steering. Just you, the front wheels and the road. New steering box 3 years ago to tighten it up

Four wheel power disk brakes. I rebuilt the entire brake system 3 years ago as well. Stops on a dime now. I lost the brakes going 70 mph (133 kph) one day as the master cylinder failed. Pedal went right to to the floor. Thankfully the emergency brake worked. 😉

But if the corners were blind, would you have seen someone coming?
I could see far enough ahead that I could let it drift and still pull it back if I needed to. It's hard to explain but it was safe. I had no reason to go too far and be risky.
