That is so sweet. So I didn’t get a photo, but...
Every second Saturday at 5:00 we do family zoom. It’s my parents, my siblings and I, sometimes a spouse or two, and my Uncle, who is actually my (adopted sister, biological cousin) sister’s biological father and his long-term girlfriend. I almost always zoom outside. When I sat down, all three babies found me and gladly settled into my lap. They put on a full preening party show for my family. ❤
The infestation is real. It seems like the hens will maintain a nice natural balance for you. In an essence they are growing their own food.So funny. That stabbing shaking thing is what mine do. Diana got one yesterday- it is turning into a regular event. Sigh.
Ha ha! I buy chicken food in order to feed the mice so they can grow into chicken food. The infestation is real. It seems like the hens will maintain a nice natural balance for you. In an essence they are growing their own food.

Well that was easy... here’s the video!
But, that's not all...I had also left the enclosure open to the big run where the flock was when I was coming around to the other door to the coop.
The entire flock was in a panic when I came in with the dreaded net. Mind you, I never use this net. They seem to instinctually know what it is for, and they know it's nothing good. So, I'm chasing Louie Louie around the two big runs, trying to get him separated from the other chickens and everyone is making such a ruckus that it drew DH out. He walks over to the door between the runs, where I want Louie Louie to go, and says, "what if I just open the door?" He opens the door and Louie Louie runs through.
Thank you, honey.
He closes the door and that's that.
All's well that ends well.
And Louie Louie is so much happier in the new run, which is all I was trying to do.Bargain! I use clay bowls here. They are great in that they are heavy enough not to tip over easily if a chicken stands on the edge but most of them are two beak at one time size and that means more bowls if everyone is going to get their share. I've dropped two in the last month so next rip out it's new bowls. Two medium bowls will probably cost not far short of what you paid for that.Nope! I found that at a yard sale for $20.00, I bought the biggest one to account for future chickens. I only have about half of the feeder full.
You're right. It's a great clip. One doesn't tend to appreciate just how quick chickens can be, not to mention savage.Well that was easy... here’s the video!
