She definitely sounds different; muted somehow. Like a squeaker toy that has got water in it. :hit And to top it all off, her butt is really mucky again.
I'm sorry you and Tegan are going through a tricky time. I really hope she comes good :fl

I can't handle Mary because she hates it, so when she needed a butt wash, I put her in the cat travel box and put the box in the bath. Then I sneaked my hand in to encoyrage the poops to come away. Mught be something to try with Tegan.

Well Ned has decided that he is King of the Cushions!!

He is not far from the other flocks when he's out. I had to spend the weekend fortifying the new chicken run.

I would keep a very close eye on her for coughing or a rattle when she breathes. Barring those developments I would think that she is fine.

That was very clever. I can get my troublemaker Aurora only when I have help. It is impossible for one person.

Alarm!

Sadly, I do not have video but tonight I was sitting out in Aurora's new chair when the first of two hawks flew over the house. Hattie made the same low sound only as I caught in the video only a clipped a little short. Everyone froze. That hawk was followed by a second hawk. Hattie made the exact same sound again. The second hawk circled back while being chased by crows. The same sound again.

I think I now know the sound for an aerial predator.

I had been hearing the scree of a red trailed hawk earlier in the day. I told Hattie to be on the watch for them. 🔭 I'm glad she followed my advice. 😁
