Tonight's Roosting Drama

First everyone is in the coop. I filmed this as I watched from the outside. It starts with everyone settled and then Aurora enters. Then it appears that Lilly forces Sydney down off the high roost. That leads to Aurora blocking her from returning. Once Aurora is done with Sydney, her and Hattie gang up on Phyllis.

I wish I understood all of this. I can't figure out why this happens one night and then not another night.
Very confusing.

I had one as a child. It was rather like a quilt but stuffed with feathers instead of batting.
I assumed the name came from it being stuffed with down rather than feathers. As far as I can tell, the difference between an eiderdown and a duvet is whether you use sheets and blankets under it or put it in a cover. I think reflecting that, an eiderdown is smaller than a duvet.
I am not entirely sure how comforters and quilts fit into that construct!

Aurora is being a bit of a nightmare. Sorry, Bob! Can phyllis get to her new roost? It seemed she thought about it a couple times. Can you add another lower and to the side so she can get there in two small jumps instead of one big jump?
Phyllis should be able to reach it from the roost extension. It's actually in front of the extension.

It would seem from the video that Phyllis is aware there is a roost that would put her out of reach of the others. She's not making the jump for it though. I would put her on it for a few nights and see if that would make her use it.

I was planning to put her on it the next time she roosted outside. I may just scoop her up at roosting time tonight and put her there.
