Driving Tour of Hershey

It was 78°F (25.5°C) Today in Hershey, PA. Mrs BY Bob was off work today so we piled in the convertible and went to town for lunch. As we were heading into town I thought, this would make a great "look at where we live" video. So I flipped on the video camera and narrated a 7 min drive through town. The sun interferes at the end but overall I think it will give you a little idea of where we live.
And you just put Hershey on my list for amusement parks! Those wooden coasters look awesome... and I will also admit to a love of zoos. Yes, I agree that keeping exotic animals outside of their natural climates isn’t ideal... but the passion it can spark in children can really make a difference in the long run. If it wasn’t for the whales kept in captivity for “amusement” People would never have stopped seeing them as just a resource to be exploited. Love the tour... the buildings look picturesque in a classic east coast way you just don’t see in my area. Stunning!

Thanks for the Tour Bob.

Do you have problems telling your left from your right like I do? I really have to think about it. I tell people that I'm "bilaterally challenged" 😝

I know this happened months ago, but I'm still catching up. I am sooo sorry you lost your precious Maleficent. I know you are heartbroken. We just lost our Raven to a sudden death. She had a seizure and was gone. That was what brought me back to your group here- I needed chicken therapy. We too are devastated. We'll be cremating her this afternoon. :(
Aw. I’m so sorry. Hugs to you!

Thanks for the tour. I love the kisses street lights. I don’t remember them from my only visit to Hershey, but I think I only saw the hotel really. It was a work meeting.

It’s like travelling from the comfort of your own home, thank you for the tour! Looks like it was a beautiful day.

It sounds like you are “driving stick”; isn’t that the term Americans use for driving a manual car? There seems to be less and less manual cars these days, in Australia anyway. I like being able to drive a manual.
Yes, the 1985 convertible is a 5 speed manual without power steering. A stick. I absolutely love driving a manual transmission.

Thanks for the Tour Bob.

Apparently i do. 😆 That was me unscripted. I did not plan to do that.

You are welcome to stay with us if you ever come. Our favorite time to go used to be the Christmas season. They decorate the park for Christmas and the cold keeps the crowds down. You will have to wait for the COVID situation to be better under control but we would love to hhave you visit.
