I remember when everyone was looking for copper - and the commodity price of copper is high right now but for some reason you can still buy 100' of copper mesh for about $30.
The putty is great for the house - trouble is in the Chicken Palace the walls are all hardware cloth so putty doesn't really work!
Yes, but if the little furry monsters are getting into a “big coop” or one with a concrete foundation via a crack, it is good to know. We didn’t know there was a subterranean crack in our foundation about 3’ deep underground in our house... until the mice chewed in through the drywall in that corner! When we opened the wall up to deal with the rodents we found the crack and a tunnel to it! How they knew I don’t know... maybe they were in the walls already, found the crack and decided to do out? I forget the exact stuff FIL, used I think it was hylouronic cement putty? But it was good, and sealed the issue against both furry invaders and leaks.

I've heard chicken burritos transport can have a high mortality rate because they can't breathe properly. So I'd definitely use boxes or crates instead of wrapping.
Have you? I wondered about that. When we were at risk of evacuation due to wildfires last summer, I picked up some dog crates in case I ever need to evac chickens.

Fluffy Butt Friday!

Compliments of Bridge. I got lucky and caught Ruby attacking Ester in the background!

Wow a fluffy butt picture and a full on hen attack in the background! See... it’s not as rare as you might think. Everyone is all uptight about the Roosters and fighting, and all that male agressive nature, meanwhile in the background we have a hen in full destroy mode, mid flight with talons extended! :lau Sorry, but it’s just too precious!

It’s also a “live photo,” so I get to review it in action!
