I was never a big fan of Alice either TBH, and the Hunting of the Snark wasn't my favorite either. But there are some classics buried in those like 'curiouser and curiouser' (which describes my attempts to understand my chicken's perfectly!), or 'I've believed as many as 6 impossible things before breakfast'.
My all time favorite of his is the Walrus and the Carpenter which isn't as long as the Snark.
Random factoid - I believe he died of the flu.

I know some of these, Walrus and Carpenter for example. He just never seemed my cup of tea.

Well we have an adventure goat... she has been for two tractor rides, two truck rides. And three long walks. We have part of the tree removed, but still need to work on clearing the road. We have got the bottle feeding worked out, and I’ve now signed up for backyard herds. View attachment 2482007

What kind of flowers grow wild up there? She needs a sweet name like that.

That is a great picture. She is a very pretty goat. If she is going on tractor rides and truck rides, is she ready for a name maybe?
That is a whopper of a tree. If the chainsaw is still around it would be great to have a 'slice' to make into a table top for the house once it is built. I am sure it isn't 'furniture grade' or whatever, but that will be compensated for by the fact that it is yours and has a story.

She fades a lot or she got darker this year. Her new feathers are very pretty.

It's a nice day out, for winter, so I opened all the coops and kicked everyone outside!!!

1st up is a belated fluffy butt Friday picture courtesy of Lucky.

Ned gathered every one around the water cooler.

You can clearly see Lucky gets her fluffy butt from her mum Goldie.

Lucky seems to have picked up on Aurora's glare.

Oh yes, usually the chickens get priority over any spot in the yard, most of our cats are wary of them, though everyone gets along surprisingly well. Sleeping cats are most likely to be startled.
