Sansa is not Herself

I have commented before that Sansa was stand-off-ish with me. Watching her interact with the whole flock yesterday tells me it is not just me.

I took the flock a great snack yesterday and split it into 2 bowls so that all could partake. Sadly Sansa was not herself. Normally she is a bully and pushes those below her around. This did not happen yesterday.

She will be getting a full check over. But I am wondering if being in close proximity to Aurora has resulted in a loss of confidence. You can see how quickly she reacts to get away from Aurora. Neither Sydney nor Phyllis react the same when Aurora intimidates them.

If anyone has any thoughts, I am interested.

Possible, that there is a change in the pecking order, due to the snow (incarceration)?
If I can use that word.

I like that word. From what I can tell she is still 4th. She does still boss Sydney and Phyllis around a little. We know how evil Aurora can be. I'm hoping Sansa is just feeling beat down and is not ill.

Is she molting? Maggie was a bit like that with her molt. It is not just her interaction that is odd - even when she has free access to the food she just isn't that interested.
I do hope she is OK. :love :fl

I hope for Aurora too. When did she start acting like that?
And I hope you peeps don’t mind me sharing new pics of the new chicks 🐥🐥it’s just that they grow up so fast, I don’t want you to miss anything.

Good idea. Unfortunately I see no evidence of her molting. No feathers anywhere. 🤨

It's been about a week, maybe a week and a half. I understand that they can have bad days and like to give them time to come out of any funk on their own before I start investigating too hard.

I insist that you continue posting chick photos. I love watching them grow. They are amazing. 🥰
