Can you keep them indoors?
I have no way to keep them in the roosting area as it is open to the run.. I am keeping them in the run but that is open all around...
Here are our temps now...

We hit 37F today and got some melt. That opened the pathway to the deck. As soon as i opened the door, Sydney, Aurora and Phyllis beelined for the deck. Once i brought out pasta Hattie and one other joined them.

Lilly walked so gingerly, like the bottom was going to fall out each step. It was so cute i almost could not bear it. But she made it over for Pasta-Fest!

Sadly, this little girl did not join in the fun and stayed at the coop.

This has me leaning towards her still being upset over having to be carried. Otherwise if her best friend Lilly could walk to the deck and back, why wouldn't she. I am certain she would want to be with the rest of the tribe if she could.

I sit here torn over plucking her off the roost now or waiting a little longer. I feel like I might want to observe how much she eats. I think I will get some blueberries and try those out. They are her favorite and let's see if she will gobble those out of my hand. If she does I will be less worried. If not, then the medical exam has to happen. I just keep thinking if she is upset over being carried I am going to make it worse if I grab her for a medical exam.

Am I making sense?
