I’m a dog owner as you know but our boy is always on leash if he leaves the house.
I hate walking him sometimes with our little girl, knowing how many people walk their dogs off leash and dread running into one because Scrambles is old and grumpy now, he wouldn’t appreciate an off leash dog all over him and it could get nasty.
So I totally get where you’re coming from!!

That must have been really scary. I had to pick up a big stick & fend 3 dogs off.

She's still with us but one of my older hens now. Still laying. She's a lot more settled these days.

I can't imagine a full grown hen being chased by chicks! Thats hysterical.

Chicks running full tilt at hen: “Mummy! Mummy! Mummy! Mummy!”

Hen running from chicks at speed: “Argh, no! I’m a career woman!”

I do. They weren’t scared this morning or after work, however.

Just some. Yes he has quite a few rescues and market birds.
The man who keeps the chickens in the first set of pictures used to keep ex batts. Now he takes a few chickens that people are trying to rehome.

Wonderful fellows to give those birds such a great chance at a real life!!!
