Back for a min. My husband fell again, the next day. Rubbing his legs a lot. Had Dr call me, he wants x-rays just to see if there is anything to see. We aren't pushing much in procedures because of his stage in Alzheimer's. Why put him through so much. He did up his pain meds..until we can think of something else. Would be nice if a cortisone shot would work. We are also considering THC, it lasts longer than any opoid med. That would be nice. Anyway...Did I say I love me a legorn? Not hurt from falls..tough guy..... but his poor legs hurt. Probably his prostate cancer, if not that, then his Alzheimer's is causing the pain. Going for x-rays on Tues. We're good. We have our youngest son and wife..and little guy, moved in to help..me..us. Soo.. thankful they are here! Chicken tax from the past! A good hatch. View attachment 2576382

Oh I think you will love them. They are set pre WWI but are timeless about a little girl who lives on a farm with her extended family. The stories are simple everyday happenings & my YD learnt to do baked potatoes & taffy from reading them. I own my mothers set so they are extra special.

Hmmm, so it is.
You know I'm usually so busy checking their combs and wattles and feathers and the soles of their feet that I completely overlook the colour of their legs!

I'm the same, except Im watching behaviour instead of doing physical inspections because the hens are still too resistant to being handled and I'd rather not stress them. But in photos, the only things that can be seen are colours and shapes.

It's day nineteen and I'm getting real impatient. I stood by the incubators today listening unsuccessfully for a cheep. I've never been so anxious for it to be Monday already in my life.

No one roots for a Monday to come sooner. Maybe you will get an early hatcher on Sunday. Root for that!
