I never understand the habit humans have of treating some “life forms” with less compassion than others. People who would shed tears over a story of an abandoned dog could care less about a chicken who gets little food and water, has no comfortable place to lay eggs, and lives in a tight little cage. It’s a living being with feelings and fears, is that confusing?
Sadly, I find humans never cease to disappoint. 😥

I've actually been doing a good job at keeping up with the thread for once, but I haven't been writing much because Kiko has taken over my laptop. She decided that this is her favorite place to relax and hang out. She sure makes it look comfy. I keep telling her that she's lucky she's cute 😅

I think this is a candidate for picture of the week. 😆

The two stragglers were Shenandoah, and Coco. (I’m not surprised) all I had to do, was point to the coop door, and they knew I meant business, and scurried in. Gotta love those Barred Rocks! :love
Smart ladies!

With some proper tactics this group could be real terrors. 😆
My head is full of ideas where those chickens could help the USA with covert operations, espionage, civil unrest tactics..... ah never mind (it’s still very hot here) and my brain feels it) :idunno
