Where is BY Bob?

I am currently on page 4936 and will go no farther today as I am at my daughter's helping to complete her bathroom renovation. Her contractor left her high and dry with it all torn apart. I need to have it done today as I have to babysit Eve this weekend and need to get home tonight. Wish me luck everyone.

Try to behave while I'm gone.
I hope it went well!

Quick everyone. BYBob's away. What shall we do?

I know, I'm posting an Emu video while he's gone. Shhhh, he'll never notice..... 🤫

Edit: Didn't load. :hit

If anyone is interested it is called "Emu zoomies. Excitable emu starts running around her field after being filmed"

Edit 2: Or, you know, you could just press the button that says "Watch on YouTube"
🤦‍♀️

Great news! Super interested in the mobile ECG device… if you don’t mind sharing a little more information on it? Or what meds they put you on? Metoprolol was what DH was on when we met, then he was switched to Sotalol. Warfarin was added and he found that he was able to stop the Sotalol. He was very against going on the Warfarin because he’s a butcher, never had a clotting issue, and the Dr never explained why they wanted him to take it. Personal risk when you work with knives all day didn’t seem worth it to him, so he was fighting getting on it. Oddly enough such a simple, old medication has had the greatest impact in reducing his events.
I get atrial fibrillation and the cardiologist put me on blood thinners too.
He said that because your heart is sometimes not pumping properly, blood that is not being moved can pool and start to form clots which then can move and cause problems in other parts of the body. The thinner is to try and prevent clots forming inside the heart's chambers.

I agree, but we don’t want to have to bend over that far to collect the eggs! I have a bit of a compromise in that my 40 ish hens share 7 nestboxes in the trailer, on the dinette platform bed area. Less bending for me, but its also large enough that the lower level nestboxes feel like they are on the “ground”, these are of course the more popular boxes!
Perhaps a happy medium is to fill a long planter box with soil topped with straw and build the nest box cover over that? 🤔

The more I think about it, the more I like that idea. ☺️

Bother, it didn't work.... ☹️

I'll try another. This bloke is confusing wild emus in the outback.

BY Bob to the rescue! Bathrooms are the most important room in the house. It must be done… Wish I could give you guys a hand I love bathroom renovations. As long as someone else does the actual plumbing. I’m not a great plumber, and often if I don’t have the part needed or something isn’t joining up quite right, my solution (don’t tell my plumber uncle this, I’m swearing y’all to secrecy!) is often a tube of silicone caulking for aquariums. Fish are delicate and sensitive to water quality, which means it’s food safe enough for me, even better if it’s for drainage, I will use the cheap stuff. Drywall, insulation, laminate flooring, tiling, trim, caulking, painting… that’s my thing.

Suggestion, if it’s not too late, or for anyone planning a bathroom renovation in the future. Whenever possible block in between the studs around towel bar height. Then when you go to hang your towel bars you’re not limited by finding a stud, or relying on a flimsy or not so flimsy drywall anchor to support the bar. Especially if you’re putting in double towel bars, or happen to live with three or four guys that aren’t so delicate in hanging things up 😉 or have small humans running around that like to pull on things, or a house goat (list in order of increasing levels of interior destruction capabilities 😂)
Great advice Kris. We hope to be doing our bathroom in the next year or so but the kitchen needs replacing first. That's being done in August.
