Update on Flowers 💐

For those that are interested some updates on my flowers as we come out of the heat wave.

Black-eyed Susan
First the Black-eyed Susan. As you all remember, Mrs BY Bob weeded out all of my Black-eyed Susan. I replanted them and they are flowering but they are 1/2 the size they should be.

Daisy's Daisies
I have commented here before on my struggles getting Daisy’s Daisies to stick and grow as the girls tend to dig them up. Last year I planted new Daisies that I had to order by mail. This day in 2020 I got my first blossom.

Check them out this year! I think I found my Daisies!

Volunteer Sun Flower
Somehow this sunflower found hold and is growing up in front of the coop. I think it's adorable. Perhaps I should plant some next year!

And since it's Friday, my flower hen and her bestie providing us with some fluffy bums next to my new sunflower!

Gorgeous. The Susans will survive. They are tough. Mine aren’t flowering yet.
I have a profusion of daisies. Just dm me if you want me to collect some seed for you.
Below are a couple of ancient pictures from the BC era (before chickens) but they give a sense of what I mean by profusion of daisies!

Maggie on safari
Maggie is big game hunting. She is determined to score ‘the big five’ (worm, beetle, moth, spider and grub).

Here she is hiding out so she can observe for game.

Shhh. She may have spotted something.

Yes. She is locked on her target.

And with one (not very graceful) leap she has bagged her first trophy.
