I find that so interesting.Yes, I think so! We have lots of wild birds the chickens usually ignore, but they do pay attention with certain calls.

Thank you. I love it. I must remember to describe it as self propagating. Really it is just chaos. I remain in control until mid April and then nature takes over. There is nothing to be done except sit back and enjoy it.Such a beautiful, flowery wilderness. That's the sort of cottage garden effect me and hubby love, especially if it's self propagating.
And look! You already had a duck before you got wild ones!
Ditto!
Yes, a little white moth that was foolish enough to touch down on a blade of grass.Did you see what she "bagged"?
That is a beautiful picture. One of my favourite pictures. This is Notch. For me the picture sums up my vision of chicken keeping. Not a fence in sight and Notch surveying the world from his vantage point on the edge of the jungle. Okay, not quite a proper jungle, but he isn't quite a feral rooster.

Oh no.I won't be around for a while, unless my cat comes home. He never strays anymore he's a real mother's boy.
This is only in my mind because someone threatened my dog and my life twice, he told me not to speak to his family. But his step son seems fond of me and spoke to me two days ago, then this mans dog ran away again yesterday and his two sons spoke to me as they found him.
Now my cat has been missing for the entire day.
This man walked past as I was asking and my next door but one neighbour to keep an eye out for him. The lunatic stopped to stare at this man as he was going up his steps.
Sorry just my mind is racing feeling very sad and deeply worried.

I had the same kind of day yesterday and actually noticed the same thing. It's very cool.I am taking today off work and between chores have been sitting with the chickens. I noticed something interesting which is they know the alarm calls of wild birds.
I have lots of noisy wild birds and they ignore them. But one small bird flew by making a cry and the Princesses all dived for cover in the Chicken Palace and sure enough, hot on the tail of the little bird was a huge hawk. It was really like the little bird was warning the chickens.
That felt rather fanciful and the hawk went for a mouse in the meadow and so everyone (including me) relaxed and I thought no more of it.
A few hours later the mocking birds started screeching (they are always quite noisy) and again the Princesses ran straight into the Palace. And sure enough a fox appeared being mobbed by the mocking birds.
Meanwhile they completely ignore all the yells coming from the crows.
Seems like there is a shared avian language.

I am so happy for you.I could faint. As I was writing he came back shouting too me.
I'm admitting to you now. I'm in tears and over the moon with relief. He may have been stuck somewhere this is the first time in well over a year he hasn't come home on time.
My friends daughter sent a text too the bully's next door neighbour, it was sent half an hour ago.
She is one of the other ladies threatened by him and was going too move but stood up to him and had her son's backing.
As she confronted this the vile beast he backed down. I think her tall son may have been a deterrent
I'm So sorry I won't be a detective after all but have my precious boy is home eating and calling right now. God knows what happened.
Wherever he was he couldn't eat, he must have been trapped because his tummy is completely empty.
All my neighbor's came out shouting and are now celebrating as I am.
I can't tell you the relief I feel.
Please excuse any mistakes, I blame Alex![]()
