I don't know anything about the Pacific conditions, but deep water crossings can be scary and dangerous in a small yacht. I've never crossed that many miles. Wear life jackets! I will say however, it can be truly glorious.

I changed my mind. (Dangerous when I do that, it normally effects not only my life, but the 50+people involved in my plans. (Probably more than that ! I can’t even imagine how my absences effects others that count on me. (I’m not full of myself, I actually feel pressured by the responsibilities) that’s why I have to get away! Even my doctor prescribed a vacation, because of my high blood pressure!

5 out of 7 have hatched. 1 more has externally pipped and the final one is rocking and rolling. I've gotten 2 blues and 3 blacks. Tried to give Henrietta a chick early and luckily avoided a disaster. Too much time has passed and there is no hope of her accepting them. She wanted to kill the chick. Once everyone is done hatching I'll move them to the brooder.

This is amazing that so many are still viable! Great job.

It's a little sad that she won't accept them but not surprising.

Omg I love the name! I had started calling my girls fluffy butts as they started getting older and their back end started puffing out. lol Glad I'm not the only one who noticed this.

Your coop is beautiful. I love the color and freaking awesome window!

My wife chose the color of the coop. She says Thank you. The window was a must have for me. I needed the ventilation and they needed the light.

So one of the options I have been considering since everything fell apart was to get Sydney fertile polish eggs, which I can still get, to hatch and raise if she went broody. She seemed awful buk bukky this morning when I was out with her.

Well someone has been on the nest for over 4 hours right now in some blazing heat. They even pecked me hard when I checked on them.
