Great question, I've noticed that too at times when around them, touching them, & would like to know. Specifically, what it is related to, apart from our contact with them?
They also rub their beaks from side to side, when they are ready to sit, or lay down on me. (Then I pet them, and they do that bubblegum action) I think it’s a sign of affection:love . Maybe an infection, I don’t know:gig

Exactly. No offense to Jaffar, but what we/you do in chicken keeping duplicates a lot of rooster roles. Though no rooster, ever, had the video collection you do! :D
“Video collection”? I’m learning by experience. BEN taught me a lot about roostering. (BLU, taught me how to be crazy 🤪) and I’m not half the gentleman Jaffar is! :love:hugs

Sorry Marie, I'm not sure I understand.

She's in my backyard but her puffy hairdo means I can't see her eyes unless I look from underneath. The last time I saw her eyes was when the feathers on top of her head moulted.

When I bought her as a 1 week old chick from my local saddlery she cost around $30 I think.
Ok that explains why you hadn't seen her. She's worth every cent. She's a stunner

My roof has been dealt with, just several slipped tiles and a few missing. 3 and a half years and one guy that has the brains for the whole of the company sorted in no time

Okay, today I’m cutting back on the treats for the chickens. No steak today. And Emily won’t be getting her morning hotdog 🌭 but they have a grapevine to ravage (and they do) !
They will have watermelon, ears of corn 🌽, and meally worms. Probably some pasta later today, (because I’m making it for lunch) I put fresh feed out for them and a bowl of safflower seeds mixed with black oil sunflower seeds.
(A can of fancy albacore might be too much today)

Monday Mug courtesy of Rema! She lays a lovely chocolate brown egg and is my largest hen, weighing in at six pounds. She is also my beta hen.
The intro you just gave Rema, makes me want to say “Let’s get ready to Rumble “ just saying. :D:hugs
