Well, shoot. Not only is Ruby in really bad shape, but I think I am losing Dorothy, too. I’m not sure if she’s egg bound or has an infection, but she was in bad shape this morning and I just called the house. My son said she’s not doing well. I have an out of town retreat for work the next two days, so I’m not really going to be able to help her. My poor babies.
How us Ruby and Dorothy today? I hope your son has better news

Rest in peace, sweet Dorothy.

Thanks for asking. Dorothy just passed away. Ruby walked around the grassy area a bit, but is very weak, too.

I’m glad it was quick for Dorothy. Poor baby.

I can’t start antibiotics, as I won’t be home to administer them. DH’s birthday is Friday and he wants to do an overnight. The chickens are a huge bone of contention between me and the family as it is.

Both birds are very weak. Dorothy has something (egg?) oozing out the back and did not poop all day. I’m so sad and frustrated. I HATE this.

Dorothy did a course of Enro not too long ago and Ruby was at the vet recently. There might not be much more if anything to do for them.
:hugs
